Digital Analyst

THE JOB

Position: Digital Analyst

Hiring Manager: GM

Salary: Attractive package based on candidate profile

Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience require in Digital Marketing and Statistics.
  • 2 years of experience working within a marketing or business intelligence environment will be an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel for data manipulation and Microsoft Word/PowerPoint for producing client reports and presentations.
  • Identifying and validating strategic and tactical marketing objectives.
  • Working with analytical software (e.g. Google Analytics), Google AdWords and other paid search platforms.
  • Measuring and analysing online marketing campaigns including: natural and paid search, display and social ads.
  • Ability to relay analytical insight to internal and external stakeholders with various levels of analytical and digital knowledge and at all levels of seniority.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Editing and writing skills: You need to devise and edit content for various digital platforms. Writing blog posts may well be an integral part of the job.
  • Analytical Skills: You will need to analyse a collection of data and discern where logical patterns and sequences emerge.
  • Speaking skills: You will need to be able to explain coherently to others, who may not be familiar with the medium, how digital technologies work and what their marketing application is.
  • Analytical and proactive approach to online marketing.

  • Develop marketing strategies and manage social media platforms of clients.

  • Create online banner adverts and oversee pay per click (PPC) ad management.
  • Track and analyse website traffic flow and social networking platforms.
  • Monitoring online presence of digital brands and engaging with customers where relevant.
  • Identify new trends in digital marketing, evaluate new technologies and ensure the brand is at the forefront of industry developments, particularly developments in Online Media Monitoring.

Java Developer

THE JOB

Position: Java Developer

Hiring Manager: GM

Profile:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Application or a related field with 4 to 6 years of software development experience in Java technology
  • Proven hands-on Software Development experience in Webservices, MQTT, TCP, MongoDB/Hadoop/Cassandra DB
  • Proven exposure on IOT development. Experience in Kaa IOT platform would be an advantage
  • Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms
  • Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
  • Profound insight of Java and JEE internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc)

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Understands and uses appropriate methods, tools and applications
  • Demonstrates a rational and organised approach to work
  • Is able to work in a team. Is able to plan, schedule and monitor own work within short time horizons

THE JOB

Position: Web Developer

  • Web Backend: MVC Frameworks, ASP.NET, PHP(OOP), XML, JSON
  • Programming languages: Object Oriented Programming, PHP, Jquery/Jquery Ajax, HTML5, CSS3, XML(and other custom markup languages), JSON, Angular.js, Node.js
  • Database: MySQL, MS SQL, SQLite, Oracle
  • CMS : WordPress, Prestashop
  • Frameworks: Bootstrap, CodeIgniter, Laravel, Symphony and MVC Frameworks
  • Knowledge of Facebook API, Twitter API, Web services / APIs
  • Linux environment experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take overall responsibility of driving and managing delegated assignments.
  • Be part of Maintenance team(s) and assume responsibility for efficient and effective customer service;
  • Perform identification, diagnosis and resolution of system errors;
  • Prepare and update technical documentation for every site being maintained.
  • Conduct training for technical staff at Anglo African as well for customers/users both locally and abroad;
  • Assist the Manager or any other officer designated by Management in the costing, preparation and mounting of tender proposals and maintenance agreement;
  • Provide pro-active and timely services to customers in dealing tactfully in view maintaining sound customer relations;
  • Adhere to quality processes set-up within the company;
